Howdy!
We are Eric and Sigrid. We are the owners and farmers at Abundia Farms. We moved onto the property in July 2013, planting our very first crop on Independence Day! Abundia Farms is a 2.76 acre family farm developing in South Valley, New Mexico. Abundia Farms has pre-1907 water rights, with acequia access and the sweetest tasting well water you've ever had!
Abundia Farms wants food to be local, safe, & affordable. We approach farming from a permaculture perspective. We aim to provide nourishment to our community in a way that conserves resources, uses as little fossil fuel as possible, returns fertility to the soil, and life to the ecosystem we live in. We use no conventional pesticides, herbicides or industrial fertilizers. We specialize in heirloom crops and heritage breeds while practicing rotational grazing of goats & llamas, free ranging fowl, companion planting, hand planting and harvesting, as well as a combination of drip irrigation from wells & acequia flooding.
